We have a completely fenced in backyard. On the traffic side of the yard, we have a 6' wooden privacy fence. This helps keep traffic noise to a minimum along with ensuring our privacy during outside playtime. The rest of the yard is enclosed by the house and a 6' chain link fence. Recently, we built a 10' x 12' play deck and put most of the outside equipment on it. There's a Little Tyke's gym set, a "My First Swing and Slide", a play-pen, teeter-totter/table, and more. The play deck lets us get out in the spring a little earlier to play when the rest of the yard is still muddy. We can eat lunch and snacks outside on both our large picnic table, and the the kid's Playschool table and chairs set. The kids can enjoy fresh plums, apples, and cherries grown right there. The cherries are ready in July, but we have to wait until early September for plums and a little later for the apples. All in all, the backyard is a very fun place to be.
